Pet Grooming courses in QLD? Empty Pet Grooming courses in QLD?

Post by VanT Wed Oct 29, 2014 8:07 pm

Hello,

My name is Jodie, and my husband and I are about to start a new venture in pet grooming. I have been looking for a while for a good pet grooming certified place in my area, but unfortunately, because it's not regulated it doesn't seem to offer any real courses that focus on dog&cat grooming and such. I found a course in animal companion services or something - but found out that it only has 2 electives on grooming and is more aimed at animal training/nutrition and such. Now, that is something we want to do later on down the track, but we want to find out how to groom and give a good service. Because we have to hit the ground running, we don't have the time to take a full-time 6mos course or something, but we do want to make sure we are doing things professionally. Does anyone know where we can get help for training/course?

Thanks!

How much are you wanting to pay, and are you wanting to be master groomers at the end?

I would love to be a master groomer. But money is an issue. I can get training and hands on, but a qualification would be wonderful. How does one go about being a master groomer?
