They make my life sooooo fun!
Audrey is fitting in fine as long as she keeps away from Mingo's (my, and Michaels) smelly socks! We have decided to relieve Mingo of the "sock guard duty" and make life a little easier. It was "cute" for as long as it went well, and it's not a HUGE problem, but still, Mingo has enough control over the others with out the socks. There is now a dirty sock bucket that she can't reach. If we did put them in the basket, she would go and fish them out!
It rained for three days. We have learned that even going to the peepee area out back is an oppertunity for fun. Well, for them, not for me. Now, Audrey and Mingo go out together and Natalie goes out on her own, or with MINgo. No way are Nat and Audrey going out together after last Thursday. I had just finished working from 7 am to 6 pm and Michael let the dogs out toghther. They were brown from head to toes. ( isn't he a genious?)
They only got rinsed of mud cause they had to both be ready Sat.
My friend, a non groomer, sometimes bather helper came with me to the small show a few hours away. We had a GREAT time!! Audrey was wonderful on the table and Natalie was there for back up.
i got tons of stuff, my first ever stripping knives.! A 6 OZ of quick stop. I am proud to say, it is only my second jar. But I need to qualify, I only groom part time!
I got a mister and essential oils to come in the mail soon. I was kinda po"d that he didn't have the products there, but whatever....
2 Jodi Murphy 3/4 sleve jackets, a pair of groom pants, another skort for next year. I love them! I look soooo stinkin' CUTE and PROFESSIONAL! I think my grooms today came out better! I couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror. ( is that spelled right?) ( the looking glass)
I got a pair of sharkfins, I dunno about that swivel thumb thingy but I got three dogs to screw up on! AND, a free( ya, right,) pair of mini thiners with it.
A new mino arco, which I love, but mine has not been holding the charge after two years, so , back up pair.
I watched most of the terrier comp. There were two bedlingtons. I like those dogs but did not see the end. I was mindful of the person I was with and grateful she came.
Plus, I was in shopping MODE!!
I did some thing different. I like Natures Specialities, so, I bought 16 different types of shampoos and got a whole bunch free. I picked lots of ones for skin problems and itchies.
Anyway, my girls are soooo fun and interesting. How did I even have any clue about life before them?????
My house was the previous priority. Now it's a little messy but so much more, way better.
OK end of essay. ( actually, ramblings)
Another thing, I think only ONE special person will "Get" this, but Jean Auel"s book 6 is coming out in March, 2011 I might take a few days off and lock Michael in the closet to read it.

Wow, you win essay of the year. Was the show the NEPGP? What were the girls doing there... Demo dogs? You say that you groom part time, how many days, and are you still at the school? Have a great mental pic of Mingo guarding the smelly socks lol

Re: They make my life sooooo fun!
Yes, it was the NEPGP show.
I still work at the school from 7 am to 1 pm, then go home and groom for 3-4 hours almost every day. Then, 9 to 3 on Sat's. I only stay at the school because of the insurance.
I also got Daryl Conners 100 tips booklet. I was happy to see I already do many things in there. It will be a great little book for Rachel to read, I highlighted everything I want her to remember.
I have been practicing scissoring air with my new shears. It looks like I will have a lot of divots if I try them on a dog. Gotta get better control of my thumb, anyone have these?
That lady at Natures Specialties sure is a good talker. And she really seems to know her stuff.( almost to the point of boredom) She talked me into tar and Sulpher shampoo. She said she put it on a zit and it dissapeared. Well, I'm almost 50 and pretty zit free for awhile now. I gotta go find me a teenage guinia pig. Oh, Rachelllll.....

Re: They make my life sooooo fun!
If that works for zits let me know. My son is having a problem with his jawline. This is how I know he is stressed out. He is worrying about my stuff and the house plus all his band stuff. I told him not to worry about my crap and the house. Poor kid. Well, 20 yr. old kid....
