Software
I am considering using 123Pet Software in the Petshop/grooming salon once we open. Has anyone got experience with this particular software? or which other software do you use in your salons?

Re: Software
I have been using it since 2007, tried the rest and I have even had the privilege of beta testing a few and nothing comes close to it.

does your computer have to be connected to the internet for this program

Re: Software
The only reason to have it connected is for it to send out email and SMS reminders to your clients, unlike some software that must be connected to validate your license or it is "Cloud Based".Chase wrote:does your computer have to be connected to the internet for this program

Re: Software
Thank you for your replies. I had a look at some other brand demos and 123Pet seems to be the easiest to use. Hope some more businesses will answer to my post
I came across another one which is absolutely free except for email function and online bookings. It is called Store Vantage. It would be great for basic use but it does not have any other functions which I need to use for client shopping.

Why the swap ?? Do you think either or both are good for mobile groomers? Is anyone familiar with MGroomer.

Re: Software
Tails I found that pet admin was fine for mobile groomers, I take my laptop with me everywhere. it stays in the car whilst i groom, clients come to the car to rebook after the appointment. the reason for the swap is 123 pet seems much more user friendly but also, sends automated emails and texts to remind clients and seems to have some other really good features and if i get stuck i can call Chris for help which is great
With pet admin you have to pay for assistance once you have it set up.

Re: Software
I have been using 123 pets for the past month and absolutely love it , they are supportive and do payment plans . it can be a little tricky to understand at first but once you get started it is fantastic , I wish I had brought it sooner . Marketing , everything ,even an online booking system is with 123 pets .

This is an extra monthly fee and the form is hosted by them.simplystylish wrote:even an online booking system is with 123 pets .

Re: Software
I have been using it for 6 months now and I think its great. The only problem I have that suddenly appointments disappear . I don't know how that happens. Its very embarrassing when suddenly a client turns up who I know booked in 3 or 4 weeks ago but the appointment is not there any more. and I have to fit that client in no matter how busy the day is

I have only just started using the system , so far so good however I am still at the data entry stage and putting in bookings . If you have any problems I know they have a great help desk and there is a lot of u tube tutorials out there .

I had this same problem at one stage and it was my error, if you schedule a ticket with 0 time it wont show in the main 'Appt Book' but if you have a look in 'Tickets' it will be there. Hope this is some way solves your mystery.

Re: Software
Do you mean time as in how long the job will take or start time? I don't think I would be able to schedule a ticket without a time. I saw the appointment scheduled in the appointment book for two weeks but when the week came up it disappeared, I forgot about it and I booked other pple in. I wonder if the update for the program had something to do with it?

Re: Software
mine happened when I changed the name of the service and I didnt select to update open tickets to reflect the new service name, so it put in a 0 for the length of time then it went to the Tickets area...hope that makes sense.
