Cat on Leash Walk Empty Re: Cat on Leash Walk

I tried that with my cats they stuck there bodies as low to the ground as possible and would not move. Cat on Leash Walk 619788 so funny when they do that.

Their is a lady near my house who walks her two dogs everyday. Her cat is not on a lead but the cat follows them the entire walk. The dogs a very protective of the cat and you see them on gaurd when someone is close to it.

I also tried with my cats, and they did the same as Chases cats. They just refused to walk.

Maybe it's what you used. I tried reg harness and she doesn't like it and it walks her funny. The one I just got for her's probably the most comfortable harness out there and she can walk normally with it. Always try in a quiet safe place first. Haven't tried a real walk in a reg park with more people/dogs yet cause it's just way too crowded for her at the moment. In the future I will but in a more mellow park/time where there's less people/dogs/cars/stuff going on...... when she master the full quiet walks in the woods. cat

She got loose once and started to run ahead from me.. and my Rat Terrier ran ahead of her and told her to STOP RUNNING which she listens and stopped. Thanks one of my dogs will herd her back if needed. Cat on Leash Walk 619766

Actually while we are on the topic of cats, just wondering if any one elses cat is a vegetarian.

My older cat, every aspect about her is weird (mum always says because pets are like their owners tongue ) Now not saying she dosnt eat meat you put it in front of her she will eat it. But if you put a piece of meat on one side and a red kidney bean on the other she will run to the read kidney bean and then follow you around the house till you give her another. she will also go crazy for corn kernels, peas, lentils and even brocoli.

Always thought it might have been because when she was young her best friend was a rabbit but just wondering if anyone elses cat is like this

Domestic Cats are mostly carnivore/omnivore to have a complete balance diet. RAW's best. They need the meat/organs nutrition to function normally. Taurine being the main one as well as others as cat's don't make that themselves like Dogs to.

My cat will also eat veggies for treats but if you just feed all vegs/lentils and nothing else it's NOT a HEALTHY COMPLETE DIET. Their bodies are not build that way.

I am very into RAW and all things holistic.
CORN's BAD BAD BAD and one of the top reason why pets get allegries........ as well as Science Diet. There's so many things wrong with those type of food.

By-Product Meals, Corn, Wheat, Gluten, Soy........
Ewwwww

Also with all these "Grains" that's put into kibbles......alot of them have issues with it. Dogs and Cats simplely can't even digest those in their system and it adds as a filler to cheaper the cost to make those foods. It just past through their system not having any nutrition to it what-so-ever and make all these extra huge POOS.

As for the Rabbit being BFF... that's awsome that the Cat will want to eat what the Rabbit's eating to test it out and likes it and it's fine for snacking/treats but as the only main diet it's not a good thing for the Cat.

Just my two cent. cat

Thanks shivers I defenetly don't feed those food as a sole base of her diet. I actually give it to her when I want her to do something for me lol. But I am very much interested if you could explain to me how you feed your cats raw.
I feed my dog majority diet raw but I could never grasp the concept of how to balance a raw diet for cats. I think its the taurine that scares me always worried I'm not giving them enough.I hate feeding dry food to them but the only way I know their diet is balanced.

I have read many books on dogs diets and have a good understanding of their digestive system but cannot find many on cats

If you are doing RAW meats/organs/meaty bones that you get from grocery it have to be the NO Hormone/Antibotic type of meat that cost alot to get. It has to have that label. You just mix it and rotate those around. But it's also hard to make sure they are safe so it really depends on where you get it. With that diet you can mix some vegs in there if you so choose. That's the most natural way and less processed.

But there are RAW "pet food" line out there like Stella and Chewys that is also RAW but they form it into patties and add extra supplements in there. Or Bravo which is a tube and they add bones it in. Bravo also have RAW bones that you can buy.

Going RAW's pretty much the most expensive you can get... and not many people can afford it. Exspecially if you have big dogs.

The only kibble I like is Orijen and Acana... they are from Canadian and only make it from FRESH meats *all formula have fish in it* from small farms up there never frozen not processed... It's really high quality for kibble and you feed alot less cause it's so dense and they work with botanicals.

Mostly high protein diets.
There's also dehydrated foods that you mix with Raw meats... like Honest Kitchen..who also make alot of great herbal supplements. Their Perfect Form's awsome to heal random diarrhea...

What I feed my dogs & cat? Lol better than what I feed myself most of the time.... I mix/rotate alot... between different fresh no hormone meats/organs/ meaty bones..... Stella/Chewys patties... small portion of orijen... raw veggies... *my jrt can't have sugar so no potato/fruits at all*... other two can have fruits like banana... supplements with extra joint support cause my dogs are old/ with spirulina in it to detox... big on kelp... ...... Jerky treats, bullysticks, freeze dried stuff.....reg non flavor yogurt....

Crazy I know... Rolling Eyes .... Helps when you work in a holisitc pet food shop too though. Very Happy
