poodles have taken over the world!
I am almost positive that George & Natalie are lounging in a hotel room while attending Intergroom grooming show . Yes ,there are hotels where pets are welcome in America....quite a few ,and nice ones to boot !
I have no doubt they do the same at their respective homes though ,too !

Re: Natalie, coming home soon!
Thank you, Tammy is right abouy everything, we are just coming around to pets being more acepted at places. There are a few outdoor places we can go and eat with her too!
george is extremly tolerant and was even friendly to Natalie, that is his regal look. He is an awesome, calm, beautiful dog. I love hm. Natalie is calm, defers to Mingo and they have made great strides just today, mostly due to Mingo acceptance of her. All is good..

Re: Natalie, coming home soon!
Well, she competed with Sable, Giant schn> and had a little mishap when Sable steped on shears. I'm sure she would tell you all this herself, she is very busy getting her new shop up and running, or i shouls say , prefected, as she is open and was doing a ton of shopping, I envey her, she can retail high end stuff in her area, she got loads of cool stuf, pluss a new bichon puppy, and we attended two parties, it was very busy, including her working at E_Z groom nooth, SO she did not compete with George, I don't think she had time! Sam, "Tattoobullies" here, competed in creative but i did not stay for that, she did an awesome job! But I do not have pics, onlt saw them and I am a computer dummy and can't get them from there to here...

Re: Natalie, coming home soon!
When it came time for judging, she told the judge that she cut Sables foot, which is an instant disqualification. If she'd said that the dog had stepped on them, it would've been OK.

Re: Natalie, coming home soon!
oh it was enventful for her then what a bummer ,i didnt know about the disqualified rule if you cut a dog dont think that would happen in the uk,actually heard of a groomer who cut off a st poodles nipple whilst competing here and went on to be placed.i really hope jodi comes back soon especially as she has got a new baby bichon she is so knowledgeable and helpful im sure she could give me some pointers for boo.

Re: Natalie, coming home soon!
Yes! She's awesome!! She's sooo smart.
I'm glad I had the two weeks off to make sure she and Mingo got on the right way from the get go.. Mingo is the boss, they play, sometimes Natalie gets too rough Mingo lets her know. If I give them both a treat, Mingo takes hers and hides it then, walks over to Natalie and stands there, slowly inching foward. In the beginnig, she was more wary of Nat, but now, she just slowly walks up to her and takes whatever nat has and walks a few feet away and chews it. Nat doesn't care, she goes to get something else, Mingo goes and takes that. Natalie is very laid back, quiet, only barks to her food dish..
MIngo is never allowed off a run outside because she thinks squirrels are toys to chase, even the ones across the street. Nat stays close, mostly under one of my feet, I am constantly tripping over her. But, I know she will get braver so I called a trainer, as Michael does want to be able to have her in the yard with him, and trust her to obey.
SO, trainer walks in the door and compleatly ignores Princess MIngo and Nat. At this point, Mingo's world begins to crumble... but she is persistant and tries again just in case this lady is blind and deaf and can't feel anything touching her legs...but no. New lady is a lost cause and Mingo sits down, puzzled.
We quickly agree Natalie is not the immediate problem and the training coller goes on Mingo with a lead. Mingo thinks new lady has succumed to her charms and is now going to take her for a nice walk outside. She heads to the door and lady steps on lead. Mingo is halted and the torture begins. Mingo is shown how to sit, leave it and stay. She puts up with this for a bit, because, well, hotdogs are involved. Mingo is now looking at me to save her, I think she was crying and I felt like crying but laughing at the same time. Mingo is having desparate eyes at me. Nat gets a little taste of this training, but after a few minutes, gets a case of puppy deficit disorder. We think she has to pee so, out we go without Mingo. Nat has never been out without Mingo and MIngo is almost in shock at being left inside for this.
Trainer can tell right off that Natalie is smart, with a great disposition. My pride in her is confirmed. We go back inside and talk about diet. She is all for raw and I know at this point i want her to come back!
Both of them now have to wait to eat their food until I say. I am now the boss, Michael is given a demonstration and shows no interest in trying, so we need some work there.
Natalie has mastered the entire flight of stairs, something I could have lived without for a bit longer.. but oh well. She is great on the groomng table, so far just bath, brush face and feet. I'm scared to touch that soft puppy fur...
One thing about Nat tho, is she doesn't clean her peepee after... Mingo always does. Is this normal?? I want her to clean her pee pee but how the heck do I train her to do THAT?????
