Re: Bumping Daisy Mascot
A little joke my 11 yr old son had this morning on Daisy
Some recent NZ holiday photos
This is me in Taupo, a good shot of Mt Tauhara in the background, also called Lady of the Lake, can you see her shape? Lying on her back, from right to left is her head first, with hands folded over her.
Sorry, husband ordered a Foxtel movie, will add more later as they take so long to load!

OMG OMG!! How can you say that Mut!!!!!
Australia is soooo beautiful, and so wild and exotic and so dramatic!
You are so lucky to live there!
But I've never been to New Zealand either!!

Re: Bumping Daisy Mascot
Mmm, won't enter that argument on Aus vs NZ, safe to say both are stunninly beautiful in very different ways.
Some more holiday snaps ...
same beach, Lake Taupo, my son about to jump off the jetty.
My son walked up the mountain in the background in a previous photo for a school holiday program, these are a couple of shots he took at the top

I agree, Donna. It's gorgeous. I'm not saying Australia isn't beautiful Just that a lot of it is brown, dry, flat and fly-ridden Where I live is rather nice as it is acreage only 30 minutes from the beach

Re: Bumping Daisy Mascot
Dry, flat, brown?? That's not what it shows in the travel brochures
New England is touted as very pretty, we have 4 seasons but right now it's UGLY with brown grass and old snow...

Re: Bumping Daisy Mascot
Those of you who've flown across Australia know how much of it is like Tammy's world There are, however, spectacular areas (no doubt those shown in the travel brochures....) and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. My partner loves the dry desert interior
Thanks for the Daisy fix Lisa And more stunning NZ pics......The other big difference is you can see most of NZ in far less time than you can see part of Oz!!

ditto, except the brown in my part of the land is 'red'. However I have heard of nice green patches, rolling hills and moderate temperatures, aren't they somewhere near NZ??

Re: Bumping Daisy Mascot
MY bubble has been burst.
So, hypothetically, If I ever were to visit, your "winter" would be the time to do it?
New Zealand is out, I don;t know anyone there! Or, even where it is Is it all as pretty as that, Peke?

Ohhh Lisa it's sooooooooooo good to have ya back & see Daisy.
I always get a laugh from her pics. Love the photo's of trip but gotta tell yell Daisy is the best. So let me know when you've got enough photo's so we can get her published.
She would be a great role model. See what happens kids when you drink to much.....LOLOL CLASSIC.
I've got your stubbies on ice kiddo just waiting for your visit later in the year......

No Lorie, it's even prettier! Gee i wouldn't be biased would I?
Seriously, I'm not one of those kiwis who don't also appreciate the country they live in. Australia is a country like I've never seen before, stunningly wildly beautiful with everything in it from white sand beaches to snow capped mountains and I'm very lucky to live here. NZ is only about 3000 km's from the east coast of Australia, actually funny you say you don't know where it is (!), but when i lived in Canada for a while, the American world map didn't even have NZ on it, bottom right hand corner was totally missed off! I was horrified.
