Daisy swimming for her life is hilarious!!!!!
What an exciting adventure she had. I think the life of Daisy deserves to be a childrens' book. They make millions you know, Lisa!

Wilbur is sitting here green with envy. He loves the water in the bath and the hose however before Wilbur could get his life vest on he decided to dive in the deep of the Murray and go Kaplunk instead.
He lost his confidence a little after that. Maybe you could come visit Daisey Dog and show our poor little Wilbur how easy it is. Good Job Daisey and that roll in the sand just makes it alll worth it doesn't it.
My favourite photo was the "I'm doing it".
Glad you had a good birthday Lisa with the family. Daisey looks like she had the best day as well.
GO DAISEY GO!!!!!!

I love the rolling in the sand one!
I wish wish wish there were public beaches we could take our dog to here.
The one time we put Mingo in the pool she had her doggie life vest on, it has a handle for picking up in a hurry. I picked her up and all four feet were still "swimming" in slo motion LOL

Re: Daisy's Esperance holiday
Ya, at least the beaches I know of.. there are people who own private beaches and some beaches are owned by towns, and only town people and their guests can use them. it's all very mean and exclusive. I'm about an hour and a half from the ocean.
But what's worse, I live 2 minutes walking from a huge lake and belong to the association and have beach rights but my DOG can't go there! I guess they are worried about poop, but it can't be any worse than babies sitting in the water in poopy diapers or the goose shit down there when people feed the geese. They are not supposed to but it only takes one person in the beginning of the season to feed them and they won't go away..
It's not even that Mingo likes to swim, it's that i have so limited free time with her that i can't go lounge on the beach and leave her home. She just wants to be with me. I took her any way one time and the jerk that thinks he is the beach overseer yelled at me and we had a match. It's not worth it, but the next time I went there i brought this statue of a poodle that i had painted pink and just Mingo's size and put it by the water. I yelled "good girl, Mingo, good girl." a few times aand the guy came out and thought it was my dog and started yelling at me, he figured it out real quick. Juvinile , I know.

Re: Daisy's Esperance holiday
Absolutely LOVE it Lorie I can't believe they're such jerks - how can a dog be so much worse than the rubbish people leave behind or the duck and fowl crap?? I know how you feel, I seem to feel guilty a lot over lack of quality time with my dogs, but gotta pay the bills

Re: Daisy's Esperance holiday
I know Westie how you feel, Mingo has her own little corner in the groom shop but it's not exactly quality time whem she sees me being nice to some other dog.
Some of us dog owners in the Association plan to crash their spring assn. meeting where all the officers sit around acting like big shots in front of each other with a petition for allowing dogs on the beach.

Re: Daisy's Esperance holiday
Exactly. I called the assn. pres. last night. I am embarrassed to say I lost it with her. She is withholding a list of members from me which is against the law, it being public record.
She has to talk to their atty. to see if they can give it to me.
I know she is just stalling.
I WILL get it,then I can cross reference against the list of dog owners and get something started.

Well done, good work! It is v hard to stand up to this kind of 'we're in the right' kind of authority but when it's so blatantly prejudiced without reason you have to stick to your guns!! I'm sure we're all behind you here - you go for it and get your furkids some justice

Re: Daisy's Esperance holiday
Thanks, I'm trying, but it is so hard to keep challenging "athority"
They are up on their own important pedestal. It's hard to get thru to them.
I will keep it up, it's nice weather here now, easier to get about.
Shout out to, Daisy!
"Roll in that sand for my Mingo, sorry to take over the thread, Sweetie!

Re: Daisy's Esperance holiday
I have a client from up the street with a rottie and toy poo who is interested in helping, they want to go too.
As soon as school lets out I'll have more time to organize it, I have separeted into three areas:
poeple who only own lots and don't live here, but may be sympathetc. They will get a SASE to send back. Nice and easy for them, because EVERY PROPERTY OWNER gets a vote..
the people who have dogs in the assn. (cross referenced with the registered owner list from town hall)
And, the property owners that may not own dogs.
They will all get slightly different letters, just need a little help!
THANKS FOR ASKING!!!!!
