Re: more chickens
I also just picked up, a few days ago, 17 Aracauna chicks. I will post pics when they are a bit more feathered.

Re: more chickens
See how handsome Elvis is now? He is not a Pyncheon bantam. I visited the pyncheon breeders here and Elvis is too big. Would love some banty hens though. The aracaunas will be a seperate flock from my other chickens. They carry the lavender gene. We will breed when they are mature for lavender aracaunas,; the chicks I have are black.

Cool. When we breed I could ship some eggs. These babies carry the lavender gene for lavender aracaunas.
My trailer is full of dust from them. Really bad.....take me hours to clean....bummer.

Re: more chickens
OK, I went out in this frigid weather and searched. My husband must be blind....all my roosters are there! I saw Elvis right away so I thought, well maybe he meant Lenny. Saw Costello and Abott....no Lenny. Finally found him underneath a nesting box.
Have a little issue though. Lately when they get fed the roosters want to gang bang my hens. Any chicken people run into this problem?

Re: more chickens
He did, Donna, he did When I had a rooster the chickens would hatch chickens and MORE roosters and whn they grew up they would fight, so I elected to just buy chickens
