I love grooming and clipping cats !!!
Hi All,
the best advise that I can give to any groomer is that you have to 1) like cats (they know) 2) work with the cat, don't try to force them into a position that YOU want, just work with the position that they are happy in. 3) take things slowly 4) a pat and a scratch every now and then works wonders !!

Love it! Had a walk-up to the trailer "yes, the cat is well used to grooming, my daugher does her every week" - it was like a bad cartoon, richocheting off every surface whilst I had my head down waiting till she exhausted herself. UGLY! Funny, she's not called back

On the subject of cat grooming, has anyone got or used an air muzzle? Have heard about them on the other forums and was just wondering if they were available here... would love to try one.

Re: I love grooming and clipping cats !!!
Some tips i learned before when i had to groom cats.
Thanks StarDreaming LOL
TIPS for grooming cats safely
Vet wrap on feet saves you from flying claws
Bath in a wire cage less stress for you and the cat
use cat mussle where needed it covers the eyes so the stress less
be care full when clipping cats have thin skin and cut very easily
Don't use skip tooth blades on cats same reason you can cut them
I recommend a #10 its less likely to cut
Watch when blow drying they don't over heat
AND last if you or the cat is too stressesd STOP its not worth the five mins
Oh and if you bath use a viniger rince it helps with the blow dry time
and don't condition unless needed cats have oily coats so usually don't need it you can always use a spray on conditioner after
Happy Cat grooming

cat grooming
I bath and dry my cats and I have a customer with a persian that wants me to trim and bath her. I am not to sure about the whole thing. Will give it a go with hers and go from there.
