Re: Phone Responses.
Yep. I am astounded at the number of people calling still. I was very disappointed on Wednesday AFTERNOON when I got 4 regular clients calling me to get in before Christmas ............. no sorry. I tell them that I'm already working up until 9pm just to fit people in and they still kinda pause as if I will say "ok! come on down."
I expected a bit better from them.
Still got many calls yesterday from random people shopping around "before christmas" when there is .. 2 days left?! are you joking. I'm sure there will be more calls today.
I want to start adding fees too, when I told my boyfriend my plans for next year he wasn't very impressed.
I think fees are fair if you're holding dogs all day or if you are working on a Sunday or late night... but I don't know if my area (kinda cheap :\) would go for fees.. then again around Christmas.. they need to take what they can get. Don't know if they would just go elsewhere during the quiet season though...

Re: Phone Responses.
Yep same here. I had peaple calling me today asking if I can clip their dog today or tomorrow. Sorry, but I am booked up and have been for the last 2 months. I bet they wouldn't leave their own hair and beauty treatments until 1 or 2 days before christmas and expect to get an appointment!!!! I am sure that they think that we are just sitting around "On call" waiting for someone to call us and provide us with some work. They always seem so shocked that we are actually busy! DOH!!!

Re: Phone Responses.
I knocked back 3 dogs today, who "needed to be done before Christmas" not even clients of mine, and obviously couldnt get into their regular groomer, so was a bit ticked off when my last dog for the day didnt show up, oh well never mind, I had lots to do before we go away tomorrow, so look on it as a bonus, cleaned up my room, and the dog showed up 40 minutes late! with a big long list of valid excuses GRRRRRR, she did offer to pay extra, or bring it back another day but as I am booked up until Feb, I just did it, I am an idiot!!

Re: Phone Responses.
It had to happen... Got a call yesterday asking if "you can shave my pussy" from a young boy. I was flat out and it took a second or three to register, cos at first I thought... Do I really want to do a cat today... Ohhhh
