Just got that flyer recently! I have some of the glitter, gonna get the adhesive (fixative?) at Intergroom! I think up close some of those pics look photoshopped tho.

Re: Davis Glitter
Ok so I was testing it out on co-worker's pom x and she's quite the hyper type that wants to be held all the time... so as soon as my co-worker came to pick her up...she went in their arms wiggling all over and it smeared so fast... that half of the butterfly was off. It was on the side of her back leg... maybe that's not a good area for hyper dogs to put something that's so temp.

Re: Davis Glitter
Looked good though when you finished...For hyper dogs they are super temporary

I love it! But I'm saving my shopping sprees now for Ausgroom......and my pennies after my big outlay on the "extension".

Re: Davis Glitter
I was in touch with the rep today. He said to use a good amount of the spray and only lightly glitter, then more spray. Best to dry with a bit of heat.

Re: Davis Glitter
I think Zumi could use a bit of glitter. Some horseshoes perhaps? Or a lightening bolt?

Re: Davis Glitter
I use to use blo-pens to make lightening bolt for this greyhound that I did. Why not horseshoe on one side and lightening bolt on the other. I know horse probably will not smear their upper leg like dogs do. Got to try on the back next time so it's harder to smear.

Can't get my blowpens to work. Is there a better brand?

Re: Davis Glitter
Does it work when you write with the blo-pens? If it doesn't write it's dried.
Just lightly colored over the stencil ... same effect as blowing... I don't like blowing on the pens but just color over stencils with reg kid non-toxic markers. "crayola"

Sometimes you just need to get the blowpen wet and it will work again

Re: Davis Glitter
Peke,
If I were you, I'd check out a craft store. Davis isn't the first company to invent glitter or spray glue.. The glitter is definately finer (smaller) than say, school glitter but I bet it's out there. If you sit tight for a few weeks, I'm gonna check out the davis booth, maybe the ingredients will be on the fixative label..but if you are getting something from the craft section for kids, chances are, it's non toxic..
PS. I may be all wrong but it's worth a try!!
