Chinese Crested - Blackheads Empty Chinese Crested - Blackheads

I think this site has come right, I can now access all the new posts, so have been catching up!!
A client of mine has just purchased an ex showdog Chinese Crested (who probably hasn't been cared for the best). The dog has now come out in blackheads all over. Any suggestions on how she can fix this problem. A breeder of CC's said she will have to go to the vet and get cortisone shots but she doesn't particularly want to do this.
