Re: meet BB (aka Baby Bear)
I still just cant believe my luck >> I only said to Dean LAST NIGHT "i think i'll really start looking for a Chi when i get back from Melbourne in June" .....and then in walks BB this morning. He was up for adoption because he snapped at a kid.I dont know the full story, but he seems to have a calm temperament ,and we dont have kids or grandkids or even friends with little kids.
Chihuahuas always have and always will be my favourite breed of dog (closely followed by Iggies and Pekes)

I love chihuahuas as well, and coming from a big dog person (in the past) thats saying something. They are absolutely beautiful, and the ones that I do are so loving, maybe its our maternal instincts coming out. Did nails on one this morning, just beautiful. Hope he has a great life with you and will be ruling the roost in no time. Go chihuahuas.

Oh Tammy. He's so cute. I can't believe that someone just gave him to you. So, how many dogs do you have now????

I cant believe it either....to go back to the start of the story...i got a call on Saturday morning from BB's neighbours ,who also have a Chi,who's nails i cut. Neighbour says that the Chi from next door has bit the kid and has to go,would i have it ,can they bring it right over. i say of course (thinking whatever the situation i'll just get the dog out of there and worry about wether he's suitable for us or needs re-homing later)......anyway,they never arrived! i shrugged it off and thought not much more of it,thinking they must have changed their minds. ......fast forward to thismorning, you can imagine my surprise when a lady comes in with BB under her arm . Of course i took one look and fell in love! I snatched him up and cuddled him ,thinking the whole time im talking to her about him, that the next words i'd be hearing are "oh ,and we just want $500 for him" LOL......anyway ,after a few minutes she says ok ,he looks happy ,turned and walked out!
We've been snuggling all night in front of the tele. He's been fitted out with some spunky warm jammies ,ate a whole chicken wing !! and seems to be getting along with Little Man just fine . He is GORGEOUS
oh,and that makes 7 .....not counting a Skye puppy from Dees litter

Too funny. Congrats Tammy on the newest member of the family. Not my fave breed, but I guess someone's gotta luv 'em. Iggies... well I'll have one of them, althought they're a little bigger than a chicken carcass, which is a bit dangerous around here

What a cutey, I am a recent convert to Toys. Not that I have one myself.
Seven dogs!! I am now up to six - all Springers. Four adult bitches and two young dogs. I find this hard work now. 4-5 is easy. So what did you keep from the litter - sex - photos - sorry they may be on another thread so pont me in the right direction if this is the case.

Havent decided for sure yet Jan . Most days i'm thinking the dog & bitch puppies that i picked out, then other days i think ,i dont need a dog right now ,but then i think its a shame not to keep him cos he is stunning, then other days i think maybe i wont keep any from this litter cos i dont really need any more right now ,besides that i cant breed either back to Luke or Dee ,and its a close mating to start with ,so maybe i should just buy in an unrelated bitch ........decisions , decisions
Anyway, they are beautiful & healthy and just 4 weeks ,so we have a bit of time yet
