Hi Lorie, lorie wrote:Does Panda ring the bell to go out? We put one on the wall by the door and Mingo caught right on!
She also does the tongue thing at the sight of the camera.
I've taught her to ring hanging sleigh bells, but I have a doggy door that is always open, so they come and go whenever they want to Of course Mingo caught right on! I wonder why they do the tongue thing? Panda is on a constant diet, so will do anything for food
More pics of your dogs!
Hi Brooke, I forgot you'd seen Panda do the bell trick - Louis does it too. How's your hand?

Re: Our pet pictures
My kids still get excited when I mention Pandas tricks.............they are really looking forward to the poodle birthday do, if your brave enough to have it again.
My hand is really starting to feel comfortable, I can use my fingers for light tasks but the muscles are still tight and weak. I have a post op visit with the orthopedic surgeon today so we'll see what he thinks

Yes I had a first birthday party and quite a few of Lily's litter came. It was a hoot and they all got along famously. They had a mince meat birthday cake.

Hey Shiv, you slipped another awsome picture of Odie in - your Avatar! The way you can get him to look at a particular place is amazing. Mine always look at me....So there is Odie, gazing away at the sunset, with the viewer wondering, "What will be Odie's newest adventure?
BTW how is his skin coming along?

Thanks Shiv - it's bloody hot here but I'm going out to try that with Panda Is it only his neck now that's red? We have an ointment here called Ïllium Dermapred"which works wonders on rashes, cuts or abrasions. It's made here but you must have something similar?
Anyway, hopefully the beautiful boy is on the mend

Re: Our pet pictures
Thanks again Shiv. It kind of worked, so even though the scenery is dry and brown, here's Panda posed a la Shiv's advice (and Odie!)
I just did what you said, put her on a tree stump and let her lok at whatever she wanted. The tree in the background lost a limb in dead calm weather - they're dangerous beasties. We are praying for rain....

Re: Our pet pictures
I hope so too cause it's been a while. Medacetic dried out his skin really bad *dandruffy* so I tried IOD heavy management but it left him greasy. So now I been doing the IOD evening primrose oil shampoo w/ 2heal conditioner which seems to rehydrate his skin more. Plus Peace and Kindness sprays often *only thing that works with his skin*. Davis Chlorhexidine Spray only made it more red and super itchy... it's weird.
^lol...see it's really not that hard.

Re: Our pet pictures
Glad to hear that something is working for Odie at last. Getting the pics was hard until you kindly told me how to do it. I can't wait to take some somewhere nice, but the beach is too hot for my wee girl right now. She's (they are all ) inside with me in the air-con. She even got hot just posing on the tree stump.

I put her on this old drum too, but it's a bit boring...

Re: Our pet pictures
Anthony, someone really needs to give you a good spanking! That was pretty funny.....I just think Shiv (Shirl?) is the most talented photographer, and I have paid a shit load for decent photos of my animals by professionals, only to find that if you take enough you will always capture the essence of them better than a stranger does.
Odie Cologne - tee hee hee......I could do "Pure Essence of Panda" or "Pweey Louis Preventative", or "Walk on the Wild Child Side". Then there's "Luscious Laura".
Anthony, we missed our calling - ADVERTISING !!

Re: Our pet pictures
Anthony, I have a Canon IXUS 8015, about the size of a cigarette packet. I love it! My OH has good Canon DSLR but he doesn't take it anywhere! The beauty of mine is 1) It takes great photos and 2) it's always with me, because it's so small. Oh and 3) It takes videos. The battery last weeks but I think we did buy extra memory and that lasts weeks as well.
I've found that I only learn what I need to about my camera - so I don't really learn what they are capable of - so why buy a more sophisticated one? I forgot 4) They are not expensive.
I am lazy, you may do better with and benefit from a better camera, but I still maintain that the best camera is one you have with you
Photos increase in value with age

Re: Our pet pictures
Odie in a bottle... umm.... if I had those water cooler thingie I could put him in it , have him make a face and take a shot of that and post it. That would be funny.
You know I really should have a better cam , the ones with the good zooming lens but those are alway heavy for me. One day I will get one. I like pocket size cam cause I put everything in my pockets anyways. I use to have a sony cybershot... it die. Now I have a Nikon Coolpix but it's a bit slow for me and can't take action shots that well. Plus now the lens's rip from the store parrot that I use to play with. It works but it have it's battle wounds so to speak.

Re: Our pet pictures
These are my 'kids', Bambi and Tucker. I've had Tucker for 4 years (he's 6) and Bambi for one (she's ~9 or 10 years, we're not sure). Both of them are rescues, I love them soooo much.
Blubby (this pic won me a Peter Alexander prize pack from the RSPCA! Woohoo!) He's so precious)
Bimbo (the day I bought her home from the RSPCA, hence the green ear where she'd been tattooed)
