I have a position going for a bather.
Weekdays (tues to fri) 9 til 1 at least. Maybe more hours depending on bookings.
Needs to be reliable - this is not negotiable!
Training provided.
A confidence around dogs is a must.

If u know of anyone interested, get them to give me a buzz on 9879 7888.

Blahhhhhhhhhhh!
I hate looking for staff. Its time consuming and stressful.

Im just going to grow another pair of arms so i can do it all on my own.

Jacqui i'd work for you in a shot if I could!! Don't exactly need a bathing job, but I love your clipping and would be stoked to work with you. Funny how you're finding it hard to find a worker in these times of the financial downturn. I reckon bathing dogs would be a pretty good job myself, oh well, the right person will turn up. Are you advertising widely?

Jobs urs! Hehehe! Thank you for ur comments - that really means a lot to me!

Ive been advertising in the grooming circuit but been reluctant to touch the papers yet. Last time i advertised for a bather i got so many people responding "because Centrelink wanted me to" and it REALLY got my back up. Not ONE person had experience let alone ever worked with dogs. Of the 5 ppl i organised for day trials ONLY 2 SHOWED UP!

So i admit ive narrowed my advertising because of that. I really would have thought at this time of year (and especially for school time casual work) id have no trouble finding someone. Previous yrs its slowed down during the colder months and ive been able to make do but this year it hasnt missed a beat so far and i can actually be quite safe to say im still doing Xmas figures with solid bookings for 4 weeks, Saturdays booked til Jan...i even have regulars booking 2 YEARS in advance! Can u believe it! Nutty people! Great for me! Ever better for someone looking for a permanent job!

Blahhhhhhhhhh! :'(

jaqui this is exactly where i was in my salon.....but try finding good staff in SA!! impossible. I struggled on by myself for 16 yrs because of staffing issues.Eventually this is why i chose to come home to work and downscale .
good luck in your search,i sympathise completely. Some days i dream of just turning up ,bath/blowdry and groomouts all day long, sounds great to me LOL
