Hi all
I am wondering if i am really weird, latley I have had tiny cut dog hairs getting lodged in my skin causing little infections, inbetween my fingers and where my arm bends, does this ever happen to anyone?

All the time one of the perils of being a groomer lol. i could sit there for hours with a pair of twizzers trying to find where the little bugger is
It depend on what breed you are grooming some dogs i find it happens with more then others. avoid using moisturiser when you have one i find the more moist the area is the more it irritates.

welcome to the world of a dog groomer...even with a grooming coat on they still get inbetween my girls & leave little bumps in my cleavage grr...you learn to avoid scratching yourself with hairy hands & use the HV if ya get itchy ..& never wipe down a table with ya hand ...many a hair splinter from that ouch
I had one hair in my finger a few months ago that was 2 cms long..how it got there I dunno & now there is a little tunnel where I dug it out that other hairs work their way into

I use facial hair wax strips on my inside elbows when its bad. Much more effective than tweezers

Me too. My hands are always sweaty so I get them between my fingers.

Yup... Inside elbows. Used to get them in my toenail until I started wearing steel capped boots.

Re: little cut hairs getting stuck in my skin
Same here we groomed a German Shepherd over the weekend and my wife discovered a dog hair lodged on her skin too. We were not sure where that came from till she got it removed in the evening and discovered it is a dog hair. It was about 2 to 3 cm long.
Hi everyone, have a nice day and week.

I've been getting them in the webbings in between my fingers. Come up in tiny little lumps and prickle like you wouldn't believe!

TMI, but- nipples, by far the worst!
If you get them in your arms etc, you can use sticky tape or if you're really keen, wax, it's the best way to get them out, you'd be surprised at how many get stuck in the skin.

Oh don't get me started on my nipples. My hubby finds it hilariously amusing watching me in the shower trying to get them out without pinching myself.
