Hoping you guys will be aable to assist. I have a friend who's daughter is wishing to start learning correctly dog grooming and clipping. I advised her to go to a TAFE course or complete a course ( certificate or Diploma)with a good groomer. She is keen and animal savvy as she had just returned from Gatton uni as she was going to live on campus and do animal husbandary ( she got too homesick) She lives at the gold coast QLD.....so any advice????? Very Happy Very Happy

Young lass has had no luck finding a TAFE course on the Gold coast.....she lives a couple of hours from me. She is now going to live with her aunty ( my friend) and spend time with me. I will show her everything from scratch but would like to recommend a dvd on scissoring ( basic) for her.... Does anyone know who stocks the Jodi Murphy dvd's What other DVD's can anyone recommend..(remembering she is a complete newbie) Very Happy Very Happy

I purchased the Jodi Murphy DVDs direct from her Jill. If you are passing by my way sometime feel free to grab mine if you want to have a look at it, I have quite a few of her others too.
It is hard to direct those who want to persue grooming because there are so few courses available, there are a few basic tafe like courses available here in Queensland but I think they offer very little hands on grooming. One course is with Ithaca College at Red Hill, and then there is AIRC(Animal Industry Resource Centre).

Thanks so much Brooke. I think I will get her to get a few of them and with hands on at my place for as long as she wants,I think this will be the best way to go. She can then try and get into a vet and do the vet nursing course as well.;
