I Finally found my family!!

Post  Rosie on Fri Mar 27, 2009 11:40 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm Rosie from WA. A run a small grooming business from home that I started about 18months ago at friends and family request. I have been clipping Schnauzers since I was 12 and I think I have finally found my calling in life. Isn't it great to get up everyday and work on your hobby.........and get paid for it!

Recently I was at the Perth expo and I heard about this forum. I have been searching for an Aussie chat room forever and I have finally found you all.

Hope to speak to you all soon. I have so much to catch up on, where do you start!

Rosie

Welcome aboard Rosie. Good to have you here, and I personally hope to hear some schnauzer grooming tips (because I'm terrierly challenged Wink ) from you. I'm Anthony from Sydney. Take a look around, and put in your $0.02 worth.

Hi Rosie.

I'm Sarah and I have a Melbourne based Mobile Service. Welcome to the forum, the only grooming forum to be apart of. We have many memebers with a wide range of experience and all keen to share their stories.

I've only been a member since Dec and already I've had another member out on the road with me for some extra coaching. I've been interstate to another member for back to basics. This has given me an edge I just couldn't grasp on my own. Very exciting.

I've also since being a member have helped with a Free Dog Grooming Day for our bushfire dogs and to top it off last weekend a BBQ in Melb for our Victorian members. (browse these sights for more).

So much fun to be had. I was hoping to get some important grooming tips on Schnauzers so I'm eagerly awaiting your future posts.

Your just going to love it. bounce bounce cheers cheers

Welcome, i am one of the newer members - about to embark on grooming from home - or my dog shed to be more precise.

I have been grooming my show Springers for over 20 years - and have picked the brains of many members on a myriad of topics. I think i have asked every daft question available. oops
and everyone has been very kind - have fun.

Finally Found My Family

Post  Bed and Biscuits on Sat Mar 28, 2009 6:41 pm

Hi, I am Michelle from Darwin and I recently began my own business from home. I like your comment about 'your hobby' I have had been a Nurse and Teacher and now Finally found a job I love to get up for. I have only groomed a few Schnauzers so your expertise will be welcomed. I dont get on here as often as I would like but whenever I have asked a question here, I have had lots of great advice and input. This is a lovely group of people. They really make you feel welcome!

Hi Rosie. Welcome to the friendliest forum in Australia. I'm Trish from the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I run a mobile dog grooming franchise and love every minute of it. I am fairly new to grooming, have only been doing it professionally for about 18 months, prior to that I only groomed my own dogs.

You will love this forum, it is a great source of information, it is also VERY addictive.

Look forward to hearing more from you.

Re: I Finally found my family!!

Post  Rosie on Sat Mar 28, 2009 9:21 pm

Hi again,

Thank you all for making me so welcome.

Just a little about myself.....I am a mum of 4 kids,1 Golden Retriever,1 Cat, 5 fish and 1 bird oh yes and a husband!

I no longer own any Schnauzers, I owned several growing up and my family and assorted friends still have some oldies on the go. I have since moved onto Goldies and I dare say and completely besotted with them. They are just the most amazing breed, although I guess that's what everyone thinks about their chosen breed. My Goldie, Rosie is 2 and hopefully (waiting for ultrasound) is in welp due in May. So I will also be a Grandma to god knows how many!!!

I think I have the best job in the world and I dare say my work is not bad but I would lave to brush up on my scissoring technique, so if anyone has any info, book tittles or a business in Perth that I could visit I would be forever grateful.

Just another quickie, can someone tell me how I can put a pic under my user name on the left??

Thanks

Rosie
