Janet, how long have you been grooming? You are already very accomplished. You must have a good mentor and a natural talent. What product line(s) do you use?

Hi jonna, nice to meet you. Its been half a year since I hold my first pair of grooming scissors
There is still a lot more for me to learn! I don't use any special product line... I use school stuff
They uses a variety of stuff. As in tools, I have my Andis 2 speed and a pair of good for beginner straight from Taiwan and a thinning shears. My curved had some problem and returned. So I am looking to get a new pair of curved. After that I guess I will keep on buying shears when my budget allows

Hi Janet
Nice to hear about what you are doing. Don't get too worried about shears - they are very much a personal preference - but do buy the best you can afford and don't use your good shears unless the dog is clean!! If I want to take hair off a dog before I bathe it I use my older "clunkers". How the shears fit your hands and how they feel in your hand is important too. If you have small hands you will suit different shears from someone with large hands (sorry if I'm stating the obvious..)
And don't let anyone else use them!
Good luck and have fun,
Merryl and the Hoodles - that is hordes of poodles.
