Hi and welcome to another Queenslander. I'm Vanda from Melbourne and also had a big career change and came into dog grooming rather later in life. But like all the others love what I do, and can't imagine doing anything different. You will love this friendly forum.

Welcome Marg! I'm an Aunty too - I call myself Aunty Barb to my fur clients, which prob sounds ridiculous but they feel like my family so I could care less what anyone else thinks Razz I have a mobile franchise in the Geelong area. A big career change like yourself and lots of others but the best thing I've ever done.
Love your website, great products.
Enjoy the forum, you will make lots of friends and this is the place for groomer's advice and support.

Hi Marg, welcome cheers cheers we are definately out numbered with victorians on here(extremely lovely ones though)so its great to have another Brissy girl.I am Brooke and I groom from home in Deagon, I have been going for almost 12 months and I love it. I used to vet nurse but decided I would like something that I could stay home to do so I could work around my two young kids. I have 3 four legged children also, a weimaraner, a mini foxy and a standard poodle. We definately will have to organise a get together may be even before the Pet expo as that is still 6 months away. I look forward to chatting with you Very Happy

Hi Aunty Marg. Good to have another Brissy groomer. I too am in Brisbane.
There was a Poodle Shop stall at the recent pet expo. If that was you, I have already met you.
Its good to hear that you have a get together with other groomers.

It was indeed me with my business partner. She is the one who owned the very laid back standard poodle. He lounged in his bed royaly recieving pats all day long for the duration of both days. I was the one blowing up and handing out 6 million balloons.!!

Not trying to take business of you Aunty Marg, but Hugapoodle, heres a photo of my 50kg boy on a mat from Rogz. He's a big dog but he looks swamped by the mat. It's made of hard wearing material on the outside but padded and very comfy. It's the only thing I've been able to find that accomodates big dogs well. I'm not sure of the retail price, i hope to stock them myself when i get a into g, but i know it's $90 wholesale. Not bad when i paid $60 for a blanket style mat that had no padding in it at all.
